Mixed messages but I’m sure I’m doing the right thing.
Whilst I am not working at the moment cleaning windows in Bath as I believe it’s not classed as essential work.
On my morning walk sort of jog not quite ready for running yet 😂 I have to now avoid Whiteway Road as I am seeing so many people going to work sharing cars and vans no PPE which of course is totally wrong.
There is a lot of people in my trade that have gone back to work also gardeners which are similar trade also working.
Over the first few weeks no one went to work unless they were classed as essential workers but as many of you can also see things are starting to relax quite a lot already and people are doing their own thing but of course there has been no different advice from the first advice given from the government so nothing has changed.
Nevertheless when I see this I start to feel guilty and feel that I should be going back to work but I cannot work with my work colleague as he lives in a separate house from me.
I have slight asthma and this concerns me also. And working in the centre and around Bath with houses that come straight out onto pavements as you all know people don’t worry anymore they just walk by not giving 2 m quite closely especially if they’re in a hurry which a lot of people seem to be again already.
Along with that if I did go back which I’m not prepared to until the government advises that I can I feel that my customers would also think that I was acting irresponsibly.
This could lead to a loss of customers through cancellations which could be a bigger impact in the long run.
I am really struggling with clear advice but I will stay at home until I hear what the government has to say this Sunday.
Love to hear anyone else’s thoughts on this.
