People were urged to postpone travel plans and stay at home on Friday, as one of the worst storm in generation hit the UK.
Storm Eunice brought major disruption to the travel and network, and train operators across Britain urged passengers to avoid travelling as emergency speed limits were in place. Schools, roads and business also closed their doors due to concerns over flying debris caused by gusty winds of up to 90mph.
We also had to finish early on Friday due to heavy gusty winds. It wasn’t too bad in the morning, but later on around 11:00am the wind started picking up with tremendous strength. This is when we decided to call it a day. Better to be safe.
